Meet The Founder

Jay Donaldson, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, and proud alumnus of Omaha South High School, completed his college education at Bellevue University. In addition to founding Don Piece Collection and Property Dons, Jay has nearly a decade of experience in corporate supply chain.

Growing up in Omaha, Jay faced significant adversity: including poverty, time in foster care, exposure to drug abuse and many other things. He also endured the heartbreaking loss of a sibling to gun violence, along with the loss of close friends and family members to both gun violence and incarceration.

Refusing to let circumstances and environment define him, Jay made a personal commitment to rise above it. Through education and athletics, he found stability, discipline, and purpose—qualities he credits with keeping him focused and grounded, even through his own mistakes.

Jay’s dedication to giving back is the driving force behind the Live To Inspire Youth Foundation. The very tools that helped him find direction—education, athletics, and exposure—now serve as the foundation’s core pillars. Through this initiative, Jay strives to provide young people facing similar challenges with the same opportunities that helped him transform his own life and opportunities he wishes he had access to growing up.
